The project is focussed on Urban Transport and will host User Interest Groups of Mainline Railway Infrastructure Managers and other Urban Operators not directly involved in the project.

A “Tramway User Interest Group” (Tramway UIG) has been established, comprising a wider tramway community who convene on a bi-annual basis to appraise the industry of the progress and innovations from the project. Since some of the enabling technologies and the resulting non-intrusive inspection systems are likely to be equally applicable to mainline railways, a separate “Mainline User Interest Group” (Mainline UIG) will also be established roughly half way into the project.
